After making fun of prop planes not 20 minutes before this, we got
stuck on a teeny tiny one on our flight back to Greenville..... Scary

All the "kids" on the St.Clair side for Christmas

We went from 50 degree weather to THIS when we went to my parents house for Christmas! :)

Christmas

Definitely one of my favorite times of the year! This has been a great Christmas for me and Josh and we have had so much going on! Seeing as it was our First Christmas together, we were naturally both very excited!

For us it all started by getting our first REAL tree! :) Picking it out and getting it home was an experience in itself but decorating is always my favorite part! Josh helped me with it and did a great job if I do say so myself! :)

We were able to take a trip up to my parents house in Michigan again this year and had a great 4 days with all of my family! Time always goes by way too fast when you are with family and friends but we are very thankful that we got to have that time with them! We spent our time watching Christmas movies, eating AMAZING food (as always when my Mom is in the kitchen), playing games together and even snuck in an outing to play mini golf and go bowling with all 13 of us! Rennah and Nessa are getting so big and are as precious as ever! I'm pretty sure Rennah is a 12 year old trapped in a 5 year old body (or so she thinks) and little Nessa is our sweet cuddle bug! To our surprise, Tim and Sarah finally revealed the name of their 3rd baby girl that is due in March (they had said that they weren't going to tell anyone this time around until she was born). They decided to tell us by spreading 40 puzzle pieces throughout the house and sending us on a search for all of them. We then crowded all 13 of us around the dining room table and you should have seen and heard us all trying to put this puzzle together without knowing what is was supposed to say! :) Wish we would have had it recorded. We came up with some pretty interesting names that we had never heard of and we probably made up some new ones too but when we finally got all the pieces together, we found out that her name will be Aislynn Hope! SO cute! I can't wait to have another niece to spoil! :) Sarah is doing well and is glad to finally be over her morning sickness stage to where she can actually enjoy being pregnant now. We took Toby (our 4 month old mini cocker spaniel) with us on the trip up as well so that the whole family could meet him and they all loved him! How could you not love his sweet little face? I think Rennah thought he was her child so she decided to carry him around everywhere but I think he kinda enjoyed it. As long as he is not expecting that at home, I guess its ok. :) He did SO well on the plane trip up and back and literally did not make a peep once we put him in his little bag. As soon as we got on the planes, he went under the seat in front of me and fell right asleep every time! It was funny to hear people when we were getting off the plane who would see me pull him out from under the seat and unzip his carrier to check on him. He would pop his little head out and people would say, "I didn't even know there was a dog on the plane! He is so good!" :) We were proud of him and a little bit surprised I must say!

We came back home on the night of the 23rd and had a busy Christmas Eve the next day finishing up shopping, wrapping presents, singing in our Christmas Eve service at our church and then going to 2 different family Christmas Eve parties in one night! :) But I guess we are used to being busy so it wasn't any different than normal for us! Christmas day we were able to have our first Christmas morning together and it was so much fun! We then joined Josh's parents at their house for more Christmas fun and of course a huge brunch! Then it was off to Josh's grandma's house in Columbia for one more family get together. Lots of running around but we had a great time with ALL of the family members and consider that time treasured since it doesn't happen as often as we all would like!

We are truly blessed to have such great families and friends and this time of the year really makes us realize just how much we are given. Sure the presents are nice but the TIME that you have with those people and the memories that you make during this time is what's really important and we had alot of time and made some great memories this Christmas! I feel like I am writing a MasterCard commercial.......presents= $650....plane flight=$540..... spending time with people you love=PRICELESS. :) So true though! Family is truly a blessing and we thank God that He placed us in such great ones! Don't forget this year to make your family a priority and to remember what is really important in life! And make sure that they know that they are loved! They won't always be around to tell so why not take every opportunity that you can NOW to not only tell them..... but SHOW them!

Merry Christmas! We love you all!

Death

Kinda weird that my first post was entitled 'Life' and now I am writing under 'Death'... believe me, that was not planned by any means.

Some of you know already that this past Friday, Nov. 27th, I lost a very close friend to suicide. Melissa Page Strange was my friend since the day that I met her a year ago this past April. She was outgoing, personable, friendly and had something about her that just drew you in and made you want to hang out with her. We instantly clicked and became good friends very quickly. she was my pastors daughter and that was another connection that we shared. We both knew what it was like to grow up as a ministers daughter.

Melissa never met a stranger. She could make anyone feel welcome and loved and would make an effort to be sure that no one felt left out. But Melissa also struggled. We all do. Everyone has different struggles and Melissa's were strong. She fought with the normal struggles that everyone does but she also went through alot of things that alot of people don't experience. Everyone goes through difficult times and everyone is tempted in everyday life, but it is in how we respond to those times and those temptations that makes us who we are. I guess Melissa just didnt feel like she could handle the problems that she was faced with anymore. And what she chose to do hurts. It hurts alot of people that she left behind. But she is now at peace and is not dealing with any of those problems anymore. So, if her mind and spirit are at ease, then I cannot help but somehow, in a strange way, feel happy for her that she is not fighting anymore. Would I have done something to stop it if I knew that she was going to do this? OF COURSE! But there was nothing that anyone could do. We all tried! We all loved her so much and so many people reached out to her. But God is still sovereign, He is still in total control and knew this was going to happen the day He created her. He still loved her through all of this and He is now giving everyone whom she left behind the strength and the grace to get through our daily lives.

Its not easy and it won't be easy for along time. Every holiday without Melissa, every birthday that goes by where there is no party for Melissa, every Sunday night eating Mexican food without Melissa ( that was a weekly tradition for those of you that don't know), every occasion with her family without Melissa.... everything will be hard and everything will remind us of Melissa for a very long time.

Melissa-
You are very missed! I loved you and I miss my friend! I don't understand and I never will but maybe that is not what God wants. Maybe He doesn't want me to understand. Maybe He just wants me to trust in Him even more through this. Just maybe He wants to prove that even in hard situations He is still sovereign. I don't know how and I don't know when but I do know that good will come out of this somehow. And one day, when I get to heaven, I expect a big hug like I always used to get every time I saw my friend!! I will have plenty ready for you and will look forward to seeing you again one day! Who knows, maybe we can be neighbors in heaven like you always wanted here on earth! You'll have to put that request in for me! I love you and already miss you!

Until we meet again..... your friend,
Tiffany

Life

Hey everyone-

Ok, so I'm new at this but thought it would be a fun way to keep some of our close friends up to date with our life. Plus its fun :) So, we hope you enjoy a little taste of what is going on in our lives and would love to hear from you all whenever you have the time!

So here we are, over halfway through November already! Am I the only one that feels like this year has totally flown by? It seems like just a couple weeks ago that we were stressing out in trying to get plans organized for the wedding and now we are about to hit our 5 month anniversary. :) That's so weird to me! But it has been so much fun and I love being married! Josh is wonderful and I am so blessed to have him! Marriage is hard, as most of you know from experience, but I have found that it is also the most rewarding experience and journey as we get to know each other more and more on a daily basis. I love my Josh!

As Christmas gets closer and closer (YAY!!), me and Josh have been busy working on our church's christmas program. He is Orchestra Director at our church and during the year rehearses the orchestra to play every Sunday morning. But when it comes to the Christmas program, you can imagine all the extra hard work that goes into this time of the year preparing them for a 2 hour program and 3 performances within 3 days. He works very hard and does a great job with them! They are sounding great and I am getting more and more excited as the performance dates get closer. I am in charge of all the dancers and flag work that is going to be done for the program so I am staying busy with rehearsals of my own with my girls! We will be dancing or having some type of flag work in 3 of the songs so that leaves plenty for us to work on and perfect! I have 2 other lyrical dancers besides myself and 6 middle school to highschool aged girls that will be using the flags. They are all doing great and it is coming together alot better than I had anticipated!

When we are not in rehearsals, we stay busy with our fulltime jobs. Josh is the music teacher at Armstrong Elementary School and teaches all 450 kids in the school on a weekly basis. So you can imagine the stories he comes home with and all the interesting experiences I get to hear about. :) He loves his job and his kids and is constantly telling me how happy he is there! That is such a blessing to love where you work and I am so happy that he has that there! God has truly blessed us with providing that job for him and for proving that He CAN and WILL take care of all of our needs! That brings me to another exciting factor in our lives. God has also recently provided me with a new job! I am now working at Proaxis Therapy as a Front Office Administrator. It is a physical therapy company and we have 10 clinics all over the upstate of SC. I am loving it and work with alot of great people! I don't think a single day goes by where I don't have at least one email from someone in the company thanking me for the work I do and expressing how glad they are that I am here working with them! I can't tell you how encouraging that is and how good it feels to look forward to coming to work every day! Josh and I have both been blessed with great jobs that we love and great friends that we work with who support us and encourage us on a daily basis!

We are looking forward to Thanksgiving and we definitely have plenty to be thankful for this year! In addition to everything that I have just finished writing about, there are countless other things that we have been given this year or that we have been blessed with experiencing. We have so many supportive friends, we both have amazing families that love us, pray for us and are there for us no matter what, God has provided funds for things that we have needed since we have been married and continues to bless us daily. We are so thankful for God's provision, His love, and His faithfulness to us! We do not deserve it and we do not deserve each other but I thank God every day for giving me Josh and for allowing us to spend the rest of our lives together!

We would love to hear from all of you as to how you are doing and what is going on in your life so feel free to reply back. Thank you for taking your time to read this and I will try to be faithful in updating this at least once a week. As i figure it out, I will try to get pictures, etc. posted for everyone to see. We hope that you all have a wonderful Thanksgiving holiday and that you enjoy your time together! Don't take it for granted! You never know how much time you have with someone so enjoy and cherish every minute of it! Happy Thanksgiving!!!! :)

Josh and Tiffany
